The Wheel Track
Can you believe that it only takes the Wheel Track two seconds to transform? It can do this while it is in motion, turning the wheel from circular to triangular. The National Robotics Engineering Center at Carnegie Mellon University developed the wheel that can turn into a triangular track. This project was funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and won the Popular Science “Best of What’s New” Award in 2018. As you can imagine, this changes the field in so many ways.
