Janet Jackson and René Elizondo Jr.
Janet Jackson was known for being an American singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. She was born on May 16, 1966. She became an important model in popular culture. She was recognized in her hit albums like Control, Rhythm, Nation 1814, and many more. René Elizondo Jr. was a Mexican dancer, songwriter, and music video director. Janet and René dated in the 80s, and on March 31, 1991, they were married. However, in 2000, René successfully sued Janet at Los Angeles Superior Court for ten million dollars because of a “flimsy prenup agreement.” The couple had their prenuptial agreement in their married life. However, according to René’s attorney Manley Freid “We don’t have a set figure we’re seeking,” he also added, “we don’t have a full financial picture yet, but René is not looking to nickel and dime to get what he’s entitled under the law.” However, the representative of Jackson did not want to reply to the inquiries but played a recording saying the firm did have a “longstanding policy” and also explained, “provide no information about a client or former client to the press.” Even though they were living together in San Diego, where they were wedded, Jackson bought a brand-new house at West Los Angeles after their split-up. Janet and René shared their savings when they were still married, but René had no funds for himself. René was not the first husband of Janet. She also married the R&B singer James DeBarge when she was only 18 years old. However, after a few months, they decided to divorce.
