The concrete walls of the underground shelter had been reinforced with mortar and brick. Thanks to this, the place had a buffer that kept it safe from air raids. While Simon and Gerald already knew that this was a huge discovery, there was more to it than that. The younger man said, “It’s been a case of the dig, dig, dig. We’re about five feet down at the moment, so it’s just another five feet to go until it’s finished.
