This beloved “Cajun coastal” restaurant, which first opened its doors in March 2017, managed to endure the loss of its co-owner and founding chef, Carl Schaubhut, last year. After closing in mid-March due to the pandemic, the restaurant briefly reopened in July. However, that reopening was short-lived. In a statement published by *Eater*, the restaurant’s owners explained, “it was the prospect of an uncertain future and an unknown timeline to return to some semblance of normalcy that prompted ownership to make this very tough decision to close.”
