“Thank you for your years of support,” read a handwritten sign placed on a table at the 42-year-old dim sum parlor in Richmond. “We will be permanently closing on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 7:30 PM.” While neither the sign nor a more detailed statement posted in the restaurant’s window directly mentioned COVID-19 as the cause for the closure, Eater reported that weekend business had slowed, and the restaurant struggled with staffing challenges.
