In 1984, Pope John II happened to come to Quebec. Celine Dion was invited to perform Une Colombe at the Montreal Olympic Stadium for him. The French anthem’s success was a smash, and indeed the Pope absolutely adored it. Fortunately, Celine liked to do it as well!
