The Robber Crab
Known variously as the “robber crab,” “palm thief,” and “robber crab,” the coconut crab is the world’s largest land-dwelling arthropod and may be found predominantly on islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, as well as the Caribbean. This odd species can grow to be one meter in length and weigh only about ten pounds, making it a really bizarre creature. These crabs are in high demand since their meat is considered a delicacy and can be easily distinguished from other types of crab meat.
