The wonderful invention of tape doesn’t receive enough praise. We use it to wrap gifts, and patch up broken items, and in this instance, we can even use it to cover our feet. Hikers are familiar with this particular trick, but if you’re new to walking, pay attention. It can be a lifesaver to wrap your feet’s soles in several layers of tape before covering them with thick socks. In this manner, you have more padding than usual and are less likely to get blisters.
