Charlotte Newhouse appeared in Brainstorm, Professor Baker of Community as Jules Hayes, and in 2016 she took up her show entitled Idiotsitter. In The Big Bang Theory, Charlotte Newhouse played Bernadette ‘s friend Joy, and we could remember her short show vividly. Joy appeared late in The Desperation Emanation, described by Leonard as the worst date of his life. Joy was a brassy, selfish, and mannish woman who suggested that her wedding could lead to sex and Leonard jumped at luck.
