It is not unusual for members of the royal family to borrow a tiara from the Queen for their wedding day. On the other hand, Princess Beatrice became the first royal bride of this age to wear the same tiara as her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, when she married the Duke of Edinburgh in 1947.
