Boer Boel
At first, this dog breed was bred to act as guard dogs in South Africa. The Boer Boel is comparable to the dog breed of the South African Mastiff. They are powerful, and they are the first line of defense against wild predators like lions; because of their prowess as guard dogs, they were nicknamed gladiators.
