Cane Corso
These dogs were bred for the Romans as fighting dogs. They were descendants of the Pugnax Canis. With those big brown puppy eyes, the Cane Corso looks very innocent but does not allow your eyes to fool you. It is always best to be cautious about any dog that has been bred to be a fighter. There is a muscular frame in the Cane Corso, and they can weigh 99 to 150 pounds.
