Everyone was familiar with Joe Camel, the Marlboro man, and the well-known cigarette advertisement slogan, “It’s toasted.” helped curb the spread of awareness about the tobacco use of cigarettes in the newspapers, but was also (unfortunately)intentionally (fortunately) outlawed.
