Sissy Spacek
Sissy started her career in the 1970s, but she became a popular artist when she joined the cast of Badlands. Later on, she was cast and became well-known. Before she auditioned, actresses such as Linda Blair, Melanie Griffith, and Farrah Fawcett auditioned for the role of Carrie White, her character Carrie. Funny fact about this role as she was not the first pick to portray the role. Thanks to her notable performance, she was nominated for an Academy Award. Spacek later published her memoir, My Extraordinary Life.
