How To Keep Your Kids’ Entertained On Long Flights

Play Card Games

Card games may seem like something we played with when we were kids, but believe it or not, if you find something fun and interesting your kids will really enjoy this activity. For a lot of parents who have experience flying with children, card games are a favorite for them. There are so many cool games that you can bring along not only for the flight but to keep the entertaining on vacation too. Some of the best ones are UNO, Go Fish, or a simple deck of cards.

Pack Plenty Of Snacks

Word of advice, don’t downplay the fact that good snacks can definitely keep your kids entertained for quite some time. When children get hungry, they can become very agitated and restless – this why you really should keep their bellies full. Of course, it’s better to keep the snacks as healthy as possible. The last thing you want is your children on a sugar high! It’s also better to bring more familiar foods that your kids love and enjoy!

Bring Coloring Books & Crayons

This old classic activity foolproof method to keep your children entertained – even if it’s just for a short amount of time. Before the flight, buy a variety of coloring books and some crayons or coloring markers. It’s a good idea to choose coloring books that your kids know and love such as, superheroes, Disney characters or Harry Potter – they actually might enjoy them for longer than you think.

Surprise Your Kids With A New Toy

Prior to setting off on your trip, give your children the opportunity to select a new toy for the vacation – however, save another surprise toy or two. When they start to get fidgety, you can surprise them with what you bought. This is a great way to keep your kids intrigued and out of trouble!

Download Movies & A Few Books

This is something that can be done just before the flight or weeks in advance. Nowadays, nearly every kid is fixated on a screen! Even if you’re not a fan of planting your kids in front of electronics, this really can help you out – even if it just for a short amount of time. Download their favorite books, music, or movies, there’s no doubt that will be so excited about this activity. Be sure to look out for the more educational videos, if you’re worried about the content not being too stimulating enough.
