The Suffering Lion
The U.S. Department of Agriculture rescued Sheila from a Texan entertainment center. Sheila was given the task of performing in high profile events and parties, earning her owner lots of cash in the process. Sheila wasn’t the only lion that they used, but she was the most popular and consequentially the one suffering the most. The caretaker of Sheila had been exceptionally cruel to his lions. “Once they’re no longer useful for this as well, he’ll throw them away and stop caring for them,” Keahey, Founder of In-Sync Organization, told.
