Elin attempted to pay her way through college by working part-time, but the experience proved to be a serious financial hardship. Despite this, she was fortunate in that she was recruited to work as a nanny while she was working in a store in Stockholm. A babysitter to none other than Jesper Parnevik’s kid, who happens to be a well-known American golfer. She leaped at the opportunity to pursue the American Dream, leaving behind her studies and family in Sweden.
