A Touching End
The end of Dator’s story is even more touching. According to the teen, Reeves threw something in the trash as he was getting out of the office. As a result, it dawned on the teen that the star had made an effort to make a fan happy. The doctor explained, “I realize later that [Reeves] bought an ice cream cone he didn’t want just to get receipt paper so he could scribble his autograph for a 16-year-old idiot.”
