In an interview with W magazine in 2016, Grant talked about how she gets inspired by Reeves and vice versa when they are collaborating. “We can spend a lot of time debating. Like, ‘A raspberry hue? And should it be darker?’ We can get obsessive,” she said. In 2017, they founded X Artist Books, which focuses on work that falls between genres and “unusual collaborations” which may have difficulty finding a home elsewhere.
