Before undergoing the IVF treatment, Nadya Suleman had to weigh one very significant factor: the risk of making several babies in the pregnancy. The possibility that any of the multiple fertilized eggs inserted will live. In reality, this makes pregnancy very risky, but Nadya was determined to start her own family, and her motto seems to be “the more, the merrier.” Despite this, some people assumed Nadya should have been concerned, even if just a little, about being pregnant with several children at the same time. With hindsight, one might argue that the result was anyone’s guess.
