Sheila, the lion, has yet to meet you. Sheila is a stunning lioness who spent the majority of her life as a show animal at private parties. However, her health began to deteriorate. Her caretaker couldn’t afford her regular veterinary care, but she was rescued thanks to animal rights activists. Sheila, unfortunately, appeared to be far too far gone at that point. Her new caregivers were concerned that they might have to put her down. Until a miracle happened…
Saving Sheila
Sheila was one of the lions rescued by the United States Agriculture Department in July 2009. Almost all of the lions were in bad shape that year, but Sheila’s situation was particularly bad. She was as light as air, frail, and frail. Her rescuers knew she had a slim chance, but they took a chance and helped her anyway. They wanted to give her the opportunity to improve at the very least.
