What exactly are you supposed to do on a real estate show if the guest is not thinking of selling the house for another year or longer? HGTV has it all sorted out. For the show, the network would hold a staged open house and ask several friends and family members to pose as potential buyers. It is so weird to hear that this is what actually happens on the show. The producers also film a couple of endings for different scenarios. On top of that, the repairs have been done so sloppily that they need to conceal it with the help of the cameras.
