Costume play, commonly known as cosplay, is a performance where people put on make-up and fashion themselves in the outfits of their favorite characters. In this list, we’ve compiled a list of the most incredible female cosplayers out there— check it out!
Take a look at this extraordinary cosplay put together by Jessica Cruz. Such amazing eyes, you can just stare at them for a long time with delight. The outfit was designed by Priscylla, or known in Deviant Art by her alias, “Surfingthevoid”. The 23-year-old characterizes herself as a comics lover, a film nerd, and a visionary. She created this Green Lantern outfit and make-up completely by hand.
We also adore this impressive rendition of Superwoman made by @enjinight. All it takes is for her to begin shooting lasers out of those peepers for us to be completely sold to her get up. Truly a woman of steel. As who must be the best cosplay artist we have ever seen, you are bound to see more of her in this article.
You’re looking at the award-winning costume won at the San Diego Comic Con 2018. This cosplayer could be found in her Instagram handle, @magnetomystique; and it seems if your username on a social media platform matches your cosplay, then it’s sure that it’s meant for greatness. If you haven’t realized it yet, she’s wearing a lycra suit to make it seem like she’s the real-life Mystique mid-transformation. It’s exactly like the costume Jennifer Lawrence, and before her, Rebecca Romijn Stamos wears in the X-men movies.
We believe Litz Katz was spot-on with her cosplay of Rogue. Her eyes are nearly as big as her heart. Jokes aside, Litz Katz is a sensual lady who is not against showing off her body for art. She can be found on her Instagram handle, @lizkatzofficial, that is so popular that copycats and fan accounts exist; with such verification, you know you’ve made it in life. She’s also a model and can give you a run for your money at video games. Everything you need to know about her can be found in her profile description.
Remember Queen Kida of Atlantis? We could say she can be portrayed fine since the costume doesn’t require too much work. There’s no one better to pull it off than Polish model “Merrysynth”. She uses the same alias on her Instagram account, where she shows off her remarkable make-up skills. She likes to change contact lenses, which is why her eyes are brown in one photo and then blue in the other. You should see her model lipstick! Though she has dark hair, you would never be able to tell when she has a blonde wig on.
Veronica brought Princess Bean to life, from the buck teeth to the mug. We think she would make a great Daenerys too. The 23-year-old Russian cosplayer posts more photos on her Instagram account, @nika_enot, that we are positive you will love. She’s beautiful and her cinematic cosplay is astounding. She is passionate about her craft. To get to know her better, you can check her out on Instagram, @hikka_enot.
@maweezy is a stunning Filipino cosplayer who prides herself at 30k Instagram followers. She is undeniably incredible as Valkyrie. If you look her up online, she also possesses an amazing Bumblee, Buzz Lightyear, and Harley Quinn. She was even a featured panelist during the 2019 Awesome Con to talk about the topic: “Being a Professional Cosplayer”, alongside other cosplayers such as Lua Stardust, Mikal Mosley, and Maki Roll. They spoke about the difficulty of contract negotiations for conversations because they’re only seen as fillers and not as real talents, despite their craft taking a lot of work. On top of that, these people also have full-time jobs. @maweezy is a nurse!
Tanuki Tinka Asai is yet another brilliant cosplayer. Here in this photo, she’s seen as the gender-bent version of Hellboy; though it’s not noticeable, she nailed it down to his cloven hooves. Besides the red paint, she added leather accessories to the jacket and created an accessory belt. She dresses up as other characters too, albeit she has admitted that Hellboy is the only comic character she’s a fan of. We love the “Winter Ginger photo series on her Facebook page. Marvelous!
Joker and Harley Quinn
Don’t you just love this drop-dead gorgeous cosplay of Lady Joker and Harley Quinn? Russian cosplayers, Ryoko-Demon and Rei-Doll, have been friends since 2002 and collaborated to make R&R Art Group so they can flaunt their skills and adoration for all the characters they love. Everything was made by hand. Check them out on their Instagram, Facebook, Patreon, and YouTube. Trust us, you will love them!
Unique Sora is a lovely 23-year-old cosplayer who can transform into just about any character, including a genderbent Domino from DeadPool 2. We’re sure some of you can’t believe this isn’t a real thing. While this is amazing in and of itself, she has also done a fantastic job at portraying Nani of Lilo and Stitch, Black Rose of .hack, and Esmeralda of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She is active on her Twitter account, @uniquesora. This Texan native is sure to keep surprising us all in the future.
The cosplaying talents of Christina Fink, also known as Christina Filinka Fox, are what we believe are unparalleled. Take a look at her as Daenerys! A post of her as the Mother of Dragons even reached over 18,000 likes. Feel free to raise that figure by following her on Instagram, @kalinkafox, where we want to clue you over to her beautiful portrayals of Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman.
Have you ever walked up to a cute girl, had a great talk with her, then realized you forgot to ask for her number? That’s exactly what happened in this photo. It’s easy to assume that you will be coaxed to learn more about this gorgeous cosplayer dressed as the Wasp. Perhaps you would even ask the cameraperson in the background about her. And you will fail to do that. So there is nothing more for us to do other than adore this cosplayer and wonder who she is.
Below is a beautiful Chilean cosplayer modeling a Wonder Woman costume (and yes, you’re welcome.) You can find her on her handle @RocioCosplayer on both Instagram and Twitter. She’s the total package: a fashion designer, a gamer, and a cosplay enthusiast. Apart from Wonder Woman, she has also cosplayed as other characters such as Batwoman and Freddy Kruge. She’s also a Festigame Ambassador. This woman is as amazing as they come.
This sexy cosplayer is a Coser Cosplay model. This Storm costume is available for sale from the model herself. The costume has a lot of options, you can choose the size or if you prefer having zippers or a hood. There’s no guarantee you will look as good as the cosplayer though.
You have never seen a Dr. Stranger looking hotter than this. Rachel Meikle is the person behind this astonishing cosplay, you can find her on @rachelmeiklecosplay in both Deskgram and Instagram. There you can find other awesome photos of the time she played Aurora and Cinderella, and even when she dressed up as Spider Gwen during Colossal Con! She handmakes most of her outfits and gets creative with incorporating certain objects into her costume.
If you have been to LBM (Leipziger Buchmesse Manga Comic Convention) 2015, you might remember this costume. She ‘’’s Jacqueline, also known as “Jacklinn’ ‘ on Deviant Art, a known German cosplayer. She got the Hades costume from Coserz, a beloved cosplay seller who makes outfits tailored according to your measurements. If you want this outfit for yourself, it costs $115. Jacqueline did her makeup and body paint, as well as the wig. She also makes wigs for other people. You can see more of her on her Deviant Art, Facebook, and YouTube.
We highly doubt you have ever seen something as epic as this side by side. New Zealander cosplayer Lola V gave Batgirl a shot, and she nailed it. Yes, she nailed it down to the same yellow shoes the character wore. Fans asked if her shoes were Doc Marten’s, and she replied they were from a cheaper brand called Doc Mitchell’s, though she colored them yellow on her own. If you want to see more of her, you can check out her Instagram, @lola_v_cosplay.
Here is none other than @lianner507 or @lianne.cosplay, a Los Angeles native. The real magic of her work happens on her YouTube, which is linked to her 2nd Instagram account. She posts about her cosplay projects and the epic transformations she goes through. Doesn’t she look great as Mantis? Other Guardians pose for photos beside her, which you can see on her social media. Feel free to check her out on her Tumblr blog, @HeyLianne.
Oh My Sophii is a cosplayer from the United Kingdom. She’s no stranger to the scene and accredits her friend called Cissa for fanning the flames of her love for cosplay by taking her to a convention in 2009. The costume is incredible, and you have to see her other getups! She focuses on characters from comics, video games, and anime. The bad news is that she’s no longer available. You can thank her husband though, who is now her photographer responsible for the breathtaking shots of his wife. You can see more of her on @OhMySophii.
Mortal Kombat was the hottest video game back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. People would wait in line for hours just to hear the iconic “Finish Him!” Those folks would’ve waited even longer if this Kitana had been there in their times. She’s a costume model for an Etsy shop that earns great reviews from a lot of people who looked amazeballs in this costume. The store is called “Kitana Store.” The seller customizes each order, from the wig to the silver leggings, and the fans complete the look on their own.
German cosplayer, Katharina Kastian, makes awesome costumes and original designs such as this Iron Man/Pepper Potts costume. Her cosplay game is so good that she should be cast in a new Avengers film. This suit is made of high density (3mm-5mm) custom painted foam. The results are truly breath-taking. Look her up to see more of her work, and if you want to support her, she runs an Etsy store where you can avail her cosplay accessories and custom outfits.
For 60 bucks, you can be the next owner of this Pennywise costume made by Polyvore. The only thing left to do to complete the Pennywise look is to acquire the pigtails, paint, and the red balloon. However, you’ll have to accept you won’t be as cute as this lady. We have never imagined one could be simultaneously horrifying and adorable like her.
This cosplayer goes by the name Amanda, and though she currently lives in Seattle, Washington, she originally came from Canada. How she managed to do a photoshoot in all that rain is beyond us, but we’re not complaining. She is many things: a dancer, a traveler, a gamer, a visionary, a cosplayer, a raver, and even a mental health awareness advocate. She can pull off a zero-suit Samus too. It should be against the law to be this hot!
We will acknowledge now that Snow White isn’t the hardest character to cosplay as, maybe a two out of ten in the difficulty scale. However, not everyone can look this gorgeous! The costume helps, you can get it from this Etsy store. The wig completes the look and the customers love it. The dress isn’t entirely custom-made but altering it isn’t too hard either.
Thinking it’s hard to get up as the Bride from Kill Bill? Think again. You can get this outfit for $150 from the clothing store “Sugarpuss”, and the shorts might be the best part about it. The sword is bought separately from the costume. This lycra banana yellow jacket is divine. Though the model’s lovely, steely eyes make this costume as stunning as it is. This model must’ve been destined to play the Bride!
Sutefanni Roozu is a prolific cosplay enthusiast. Her costumes are always spot-on and she’s never short of beautiful in anything she wears. Cosplaying is her full-time gig and we’re glad that everything is going well for her. Her website shows off her incredible portfolio where she boasts 30 or so sponsorships. The cosplay industry is not an easy ride, so it’s impressive that she managed to make a career out of it! Her breath-taking beauty probably helps with it. This Deadpool outfit she fashions is part of a Fractured Photography photoshoot. We have no words to describe seeing her in a tight shiny red leather outfit.
She’s not a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, she’s a smoking hot cosplayer as a genderbent Captain America. You can pull this off if you’re up for it! It’s a bodysuit outfit that only needs short shorts and white boots to finish the look. The full-body costume is divine. A gorgeous cosplayer in a skintight outfit hits better than a couple of cups of Joe. That front zipper is also quite impressive. Now, this is what a true patriot looks like!

To play as Jessica Rabbit requires a few essential things: One, you must have good assets and a face that can give Marilyn Monroe a run for her money. Don’t forget to put on a shiny, glittering, or glistering red number that complements your long red locks. For the final touch, throw in a pair of purple gloves that reach past your elbows, to firmly grip your arms. Don’t mind us, we’re just giving an in-depth description of her stunning cosplay! Time to move on to the next!
There’s more story to this cosplay, though we know it looks just like a Daredevil cosplay. This outfit is what Ann Tamako wore from a hit video game called Persona 5 when the crew had to live out their Phantom Thief missions. You can learn more about this cosplayer by checking her out on Patreon under her handle, @shiroganesama. Be careful with the NSFW images there, though we won’t judge if you sign up purely for that part.
We never thought that genderbent Ant-Man was a thing, but here you go. Redditor Eternal Rose seems like she knew exactly what she was doing when she cosplayed as this female Ant-Man since most ants are female except for the soldier ants. Let’s take a closer look at her cosplay. The black part is made from stretch vinyl, and the red is composed of stretch-knit fabric. The silver lines are Hobby Lobby piping. The helmet was a Christmas present, though some pieces were broken when they got there, she was able to fix them with superglue. What a great first shot!
We’re glad these ladies have no qualm with playing as female versions of male characters. This Black Panther outfit is so cool that it’s even glow-in-the-dark. Make sure to keep your jaws in place while going through her page, she is gorgeous and amazing in any outfit that her ever cosplay is even better than the last. You can check out her linktree which is linked on her Instagram. Unfortunately for you gentlemen, she’s already married.
This woman should be familiar, after all, it’s Laney Jade, the same cosplayer who did Aquawoman. She currently lives in Washington D.C. and has said, “I suppose I like to dress up.” Though cosplaying a lot of characters (and being stunning as every one of them), she has admitted she loves Batman the most. She boasts over 12,800 fans on Facebook and almost 60,000 Instagram followers. She’s regularly ranked in “Best Of” cosplay lists, so it’s no surprise we’d include her in ours.
Gamora and Nebula
This cosplay looks as if it came from an actual Avengers movie. These Gamora and Nebula costumes were made and modeled by Sara Moni and Amber Skie. While Sara makes out cosplay as her true passion, for Amber, it’s more of a hobby, but they made a great team! You can find Sara on Twitter @KrayolaKid and Instagram @saramonicosplay, and you can check out Amber @theamberskies on Twitter and as amberskiescosplay on Facebook.

You will be awed by what she shows off on her Instagram (@camenezesx)
We’ve already mentioned Lola V but she deserves more of the spotlight with her Kim Possible costume. It’s a simple outfit, but her physique is what completes the look because she has the flat stomach down. If you’re fit enough to do justice to Batgirl, you can pull off as Kim Possible too. Not everyone can pull off a crop top like Lola V can
DidsRainfall aced this Sakura cosplay, she got her signature stare right. This beautiful female cosplayer from Spain takes pride in her talents, as she should. She made the top herself, which looks like the hardest part to make in the ensemble. The white pants and pink wife complete the look. You can find her on Instagram and Facebook by looking up her name online.
Lakette isn’t just another Spiderman cosplayer, she’s an architect and also a YouTuber who runs a channel where she showcases her cosplay skills and offers advice to others. You can check out this Spanish beauty’s channel on her Instagram profile, @barraza_lakette. If you go through her feed, you’ll see that she posts a lot of herself in everyday outfits as well.
Unique Sora has returned to blow us all away yet again by playing Lana Kane. Though when you closely inspect these two photos, you will notice that the only disparity between her cosplay and the character are the earrings. Cosplayers who don’t fear side by side comparisons are confident that they’ve resembled the character perfectly. Sora was able to make up for the small error with the rest of her outfit though. Her pink lips are gorgeous as well!
We know you want to learn more about this Pink Ranger cosplay so we will give you her name: Angela Domanico. This cosplayer is known for her online pseudonym, LadyDoombats, though her Instagram account is named @angeldomanico. Wanna hear more about her outfit? The cosplayer in question is named Rebecca, and she comes from Maryland. She is on Instagram under @becksters_lab. She has done lots of works of other comic characters such as Batgirl and Captain Marvel. No wonder she’s such a hit during conventions!
Rawr! Here’s a photo of a Black Cat cosplay done by the popular female cosplayer, CutiePieSensei. She paid attention to detail to everything from the mask, hair, zipper, and cleavage! The only deviation in her outfit is the choker pendant. She wore a wing but the character had a solid one, those it doesn’t matter. We’re positive this photo took everyone’s breath away when she first put it up.

You don’t have to love video games to love @enijinight’s Lara Croft cosplay. Isn’t it awesome? If you’ve been living under a rock, this character is the main attraction of the Tomb Raider franchise. She’s the female Indiana Jones who can climb anywhere and isn’t afraid of snakes.
Janey Lade looks amazing in this genderbent Aquawoman cosplay, as she does as the other comic book characters she’s brought to life, including Supergirl, Miss Marvel, and Harley Quinn. You can check her online portfolio by looking up @LaneyFeni on Facebook and Instagram. She is also @herobodies on Instagram, where she takes you on about what it takes to have the perfect body.
