Bob Backlund (1973-2007)
Bob Backlund was given recognition for being responsible for carrying WWE on his back until the appearance of Hulk Hogan. What an amazing wrestler he was, who held onto the WWE Championship title for four years. He also hung around for long enough to take the WWE Championship title back after defeating Bret Hart.
